Sunrise Christian Academy is the creation of local concerned community members who wanted to see the children in the Alcona County area have the opportunity to learn and grow, free from the negative influences prevalent in the public school system. The key to this academy is a shared mission between instructors and parents to provide a moral and character-building education free from the negative and societal agenda as presented in traditional government run schools. This academy came into being to give parents an alternative that focuses on true academics and instructions for their children.
Sunrise Christian Academy's teachers are certified for Pre-K through 6th grade. Limited enrollment will lead to a higher teacher/student ratio than government-run school and will provide more one-on-one time for students.
